About Us ...

Blue Knights Logo

Welcome to the online home of the England XIV Chapter of the Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club.

Who are we? The Blue Knights are an Incorporated Fraternal Organisation comprising of Law Enforcement Officers from every aspect of Law and Order, who share a passion for Motorcycle Riding. The Blue Knights came about as an Organisation in 1974 when a few friends from Bangor/Brewer, Maine, U.S.A. decided to form a local Recreational Motorcycle Club. This was to counter the adverse publicity and public perception of Motorcyclists following on from the Lawless Activities of the Motorcycle fraternity commonly known as the 'Hells Angels'. Within two years of the small club being formed, it had become an International Organisation called the 'Blue Knights. Today, the Blue Knights have 588 Chapters in over twenty-three Countries (representing 30 Countries) spread across the World, with in excess of 19,268 Members. There are 18 Chapters in the United Kingdom with some 666 members. Blue Knights International has its own website which you can visit here.

If you think you would like to join us, then follow this link to the Members Area and please get in touch with us, we would love to see you. I think that we have several points in our favour which may help you make up your mind.

  • We are a friendly and welcoming group.
  • We want people to come out and enjoy riding with us, and this does show when new members join us.
  • We look for interesting events for our members to participate in.
  • We are planning events to raise money for our charities next year.
  • We participate in Lawride and fund raise for the police survivor's charity - UK COPS.
  • We support two other worthwhile charities - NABD and Support Dogs.
  • We actively support national and international rallies.
  • We LOVE riding our bikes!
England XIV Logo

England XIV has an area which incorporates the Avon & Somerset and Devon & Cornwall police areas. We can be found by travelling south down the M5 Motorway until you near the City of Bristol. From then on, all the waydown to the very tip of Cornwall at Lands End, that's us, England XIV.

It is a large area for a club, but the advantages are the variety of motorcycling roads and the views. You should sample riding over the Mendip, Blackdown or Quantock Hills or on either Bodmin Moor, Exmoor or Dartmoor. It is truly wonderful! Fancy visiting the sea? then we have many areas to visit from areas such as The English Riviera to the south, then all rond Cornwall to the coast of North Devon and Somerset. Our area has historical Ports such as Plymouthand Bristol and the Architectural wonder of Edwardian Bath as well as the mystical area of Glastonbury - Avalon in King Arthur's time. So plenty to visit and see, so why not come and join us - we are a friendly and welcoming Chapter!

Besides enjoying our bikes, we try to help our charities and you can see details of our adopted charities namely: UK COPS, the National Association for Bikers with a Disability and Support Dogs. Please take time to 'click' on link logo's to the far right of this and every page on this website.
