Announcing .......
The Oggy Rally!
Friday 9th - Sunday 11th September 2011
England XIV invite you to the "Oggy Rally 2011" at the
Barnstaple Hotel, Barnstaple, North Devon.
This will be our second Chapter Rally and as with any event we put on, we try to give you something a little bit different! First we had the KART Rally (King Arthur's Round Table) held near to Avalon (Glastonbury in Somerset) Next, we could almost keep our KART theme, as you could have an opportunity to see King Arthur's castle at Tintagel.
However, this time, we invite you to "Come on down to "Pasty Country", or as we know them, "Oggy's". Yes, it's Devon M'Dear, for our Rally. In fact, more specifically, North Devon with its beautiful countryside and fantastic beaches. Just a short distance from our Rally Hotel, are the beaches of Saunton Sands and Croyde Bay, an internationally renown surfing area. Now there's a challenge. Can you get your board on yer bike?
However, you will be in North Devon and please remember, there is a "Pasty War" going on, so make sure you remember it's a Devon Pasty not a Cornish one, or take the consequences! more...
The Rally is still very much in the planning, and we will be bidding to make it the 2011 UKIC Rally and will make efforts to attract our Brothers and Sisters from around the World. But you can be assured of a very friendly and warm welcome to the West Country.
Now, read on and we hope that you find all the information you require plus, a little extra for entertainment! If you have any questions, then please use the email link in the margin to ask us.
Now for that important information.

Information
Barnstaple
Barnstaple is the main shopping centre for North Devon as well as being the gateway to both wonderful roads and excellent surfing area's. Please use the link to the right, which will take you to Barnstaple's own website which contains lots of valuable information.
The town is also a centre for heritage. The Saxons first settled in Barnstaple (Barum) almost 1000 years ago and by medieval times it had grown in to a busy and prosperous port with a considerable trade in wool.
Much of the architecture from these times remains. The long bridge, crossing the River Taw, was thought to have been built in the 12th and 13th centuries. more...
