Christmas Lunch 2011

‘Twas the date for the normal monthly breakfast meeting, which would have been at the Haldon Grill but Kev Adamson had the idea that something a little more special was called for on the run up to Christmas, so an informal, “eat what you wish” event was arranged at the Devon Hotel, Matford, Exeter, for midday.
A cracking turn out of 29 (plus one dog!) attended, by various means including a hardy Cornish contingent, all with cold hands! on their bikes. I think Ed and Sandra Meacham probably collected the “furthest travelled” award, from Hayle, whilst Roger and Nicola Hopes arrived on cycles! (In fairness I think they were staying locally in their camper rather than having cycled from Bristol!) John Rolfe also managed to attend on his Police FJR1300, despite being on duty.
A very tasty carvery was partaken by most, with a few delightful looking desserts to follow. The Hotel looked after us well, be it food or service.
It was good to see such a good number from the far flung margins of the Chapter area which made it clear that we have a large number of very sociable members who are coming to enjoy what we like to think the Chapter and indeed the Blue Knights generally is all about, enjoying the company of like minded people, who take pleasure from motorcycling.
